I agree with Uncle G that postponing the Fly In till Wednesday should let the field at least start to dry out after all this rain.  Looks like the winds will be very light till mid afternoon so the 11:00 am start will allow for the day to warm up a bit.

By consensus this could be brought forward to 10:30 but unless someone else opens up that is about the earliest I can get there.

Also leaves Tuesday for sailing @ the duck (95’s this week)

As usual post your intentions and keep an eye on the calendar for late changes just in case the weather decides not to co operate.

I should be there with luck. There’s plenty of water at the other field for those with float planes and air boats.

Ok for me. Will anyone bring a buggy for auto tow glider launch in which case I will bring my albatross reject shop glider and fishing line

I haven’t serviced the big fuelie buggy yet but should be able to find a suitable battery for one of the electric ones to give it a try. The Albatross is fairly small & light so should work ok.

Worth a try anyway, something different.

Buggy launching should be fun. Also there could be slope soaring in the afternoon if wind comes up as forecast.

Also swamp dawgs and proper air boats should be good on the next field puddle.

I have 2 RC buggies charged & ready to try Auto Launching the glider. One is a low powered 2WD and the other is a hi powered 4WD. If neither do the job next time it will be the 1/5 scale Baja fuelie.
