Lauderdale Canal (Jetty - Pontoon)
Opposite 38 North Terrace, Lauderdale, Tasmania, 7021, Southern Tasmania

Event Type

A casual day of mucking about with boats, mainly sailing, but anything that floats is welcome. Beginners wanting a try out and experienced  sailors looking to tune their rig with other boats acting as pace makers are likewise welcome. Good advice and tall stories abound. At around noon we repair to the shelters and electric BBQ’s  located at the eastern end of the canal. Grab a boat, the makings for a BBQ and something to drink and we will see you there.

G and I shall be there with usual 95 , 65 and raincoats. Lousy forecast but some good sailing wind for a change.

Heavy showers easing at Pitt Water of late so somewhat optimistic for 10-00. Will head down but will abandon at 10-30 if rain still persisting.

  3. I’ll give the canal a miss today, looks like it will be raining most of the day.
Kermit, feel free to bring your boat up here if you want a hand to set up the winch etc. Ill be here most of the day as Anna is out baby sitting.

Went down to have a look , just one shower after another. Waited for the western end power boat mob to abandon and our three attendees also called it quits. Here is to better weather next week.

  5. Well at least we got Kermit’s A Class Wizzle Wozzle all set up and ready to sail. Now all we need is some decent weather.
