Autumn holiday Fly In @ the field

We had a very good turn up today at the field for the 8 hour day holiday, 11 in attendance flying multiple craft.

The day was quite a bit windier than predicted but that didn’t keep anyone grounded.

There was a bit of thermal activity for our gliders but most were moving across the field with as much speed as they were giving lift. Good fun chasing them anyway.

Only one mishap today with Hoppy & his little EDF jet, a faulty battery lead brought it crashing down but no doubt it will be repairable.

Other than that a rather event free day.

Actually there were a couple of other prangs that I missed, Karl broke the nose off his big yellow plane & there was another that Kermit caught with his trusty camera that I also missed

I have a second video of a later flight but it won’t get posted till tomorrow afternoon.

My little jet will be an easy fix. The ESC connector disconnected after 8 min full throttle flight. I viewed the Kermit Mk 1 video. Who can explain the differences to the Mk 2 version so I dont have to sit and watch again! Seems Karl and Fab had bingles too, again minor i hope.

arhhhhh dear Foregn Correspondent HOPPY  MK1 had a 6 second black out 3/4 the way through  as a credited TOP GUN FLIGHT SCHOOL ( video section ) graduate I couldnt leave that in place  so MK 2  was produced  AS FOR THE BINGLES  letters have been sent out to the unfortunate ones  with a refresher prang coarse offer from TGFS  …..we do it better …is our motto    hope that helps in your confusion  about MK1 and MK2  …………………………………………………………just say’n
