Well Stephen certainly proved his worth today as the new Weather Guru as today was almost perfect, temperature in the mid 20’s and little wind to speak of till after lunch when the Sea Breeze came in with a vengeance.

And, Stephen also mastered the Calendar function on the website so we will be looking forward to more of the same.

We had Kermit, Stephen, Mike, Andrew, Gerald & Ricky all flying today.

Ricky has recently purchased a 3D printer and brought along his first model off his printer for Show & Tell

It needs a close eye to pick it has been entirely 3D printed.

Ricky has been a Master Modeller for many years & 3D printing will no doubt be another avenue for him.

Andrew & I flew our gliders for a bit of thermalling & it wasn’t long before Ricky joined in with his Bix 3, thermalling on high with the rest of us.

Gerald flew the Eyas Eagle but I’m not sure what else.

I had the Draco out for a bit of parachute jumping and also flew the Wild Wing & the Blanik.

Kermit was mainly flying his Bix 3 and practising his goal post flying, he had other planes but I’m not sure what flew other than his Radian Glider that came down harder than it went up.

He also presented his customary BBQ lunch (and cakes) and a welcome sunshade to sit under, thanks my little froggy friend.

Stephen was still tinkering with his Gas powered Boomerang but also managed a few laps with his recently repaired (new motor shaft) Red Devil. Certainly sounds a lot quieter now without the horrendous motor vibration.

My one and only video from today is onboard the Blanik (RunCam2-4K is finally back and working) whilst thermalling from around 200m to over 400m then slowly descending as the thermals died out.

Well done Stephen for the weather,

A nice scenic video from Mike,

And Kermit, what a great video, excellent work as usual by your relief cameraman and you posted it on the same day!

Great barbecue and shelter as well…………………Just Sayn

I was a bit disappointed with Wicky, all that loose dirt to play in with the bulldozer, but no action. (it must be only a showpiece)
