Hi all, eleven skippers took to the Pond today to start our “Autumn Series”. Conditions were pleasant although the breeze was a bit flukey early but we enjoyed shift midway through to a sea breeze to make it a bit tougher for the back markers! We welcomed some visitors – Rod Viney ( who has raced with us previously), Stephen Smith (second visit) and Richard Stoklos (a friend of Mark Salter for a look and a go with one of David’s spare boats). Welcome gents, hope you enjoyed it. Down to business – Rijk sailed well for an overall win, followed by David and Rod taking the minor placings. Coming in fourth was Richard who took the most wins on the day (3). Well done guys. After some discussion we opted to revert back to our previous personal handicap system for ease of management and less confusion. This system is similar to that used for the DF95s at Risdon Brook where skippers have an allocated handicap which remains the same for the day but, depending on results, may vary for the next race day. In addition to today’s results the overall results over our “Summer Series” are also attached. Cheers Pete
