PuddleDuck Vinyard Racing DF65 and DR65 3rd March 2026
Another day at the “Duck”. True to form wind from the south, south
east, west and north. We managed to set two courses, the last giving
good beat from buoy 2 to buoy 4. With a compliment of a dozen or
so boats 8 races concluded, with 9 skippers on handicaps. No standouts
other than Stuart Harris and his pocket rocket DR. Four wins from eight
races. We had a few recent absentees return, we had missed Lisa’s
dulcet tones. “Buoy room, he ran into me, starboard, Oh no”, etc.etc.
She does tend to talk to herself as well. The classic today was Poonie
retrieving his grounded boat up to his knees in water. A great set of legs Dave!
Not having a great day in a later race, Dave found himself leading
the pack by 30 metres, until he realised he was going the wrong way.
Good to see you Dave. Hope to see Sue and Graeme and Bonnie back
at the Duck soon . Cheers BG
Note
A bit of a combined effort with BG doing the write up and me doing the results and posting for all.
