There was a light North Westerly of about 2-5 knots at Puddleduck this morning. Pretty much ideal DF95 sailing conditions I would say. With Bruce Palmer officiating (thanks as always) – eleven skippers headed out to pit their skills.
There was some really tight racing as the leaders often fell into a quiet patch allowing the pack to catch them. A hitch on a lift to the far side of the lake was often really tempting but meant gambling on maintaining wind pressure.
Dave Woolley generously loaned his boat to PRO Bruce for the last race but Bruce unfortunately hooked himself on the starting mark and that was the extent of Bruce’s sailing today.
It was very close in the overall standings with just 2 points separating the first 4 skippers! Third place was taken by Phil Turnbull who took the spot on count-back from Lisa Blackwood. I managed second today with good consistency and an all podium scorecard. But it was Peter Sylvester who took overall honours finishing the day by winning three of the last four races. Congratulations to you Peter.
Coffee and a chat is a feature of our Tuesday sail and was enjoyable as usual.

Great write up again Shorty. As well as being close racing at the pointy end, it was very close at the other end looking at the scoresheet. Three sailors on 44 points each!

Great close racing all, “duck” luck for some. I would rather have been sailing than the tooth extraction on Tuesday morning. Well sailed Peter, tooooo good on the day! Thank you Gadget for the videos. Trout
