Puddleduck Sailing – RG/DF65s
6th January, 2026
A healthy number of skippers (19) turned up to Puddleduck today to contest the first sailing day for 2026 for DF/RG65s. Results from today’s sailing are below.
Unfortunately both Ron (Gadget) and myself were hoping to re-energise our enthusiasm over the xmas / new year break but it wasn’t to be and have both decided today to take an unknown extended break from organising and sailing at Puddleduck Vineyard.
As a result, it would be great for sailing to continue at the venue under the control of different personnel and I am happy to pass on the results spreadsheet to the next volunteer(s). This will also include posting dates on the RCTT website calender and doing a short report on the sailing days happenings if you so wish.
On behalf of Ron and myself, thank you to all the skippers that have supported us over the past three years.
Happy sailing,
Ian (Bodge)

Well written Bodge. It’s been a long haul over the last three years and about time for some fresh ideas with running the sailing at Puddleduck.
We have such and influx of new sailors and I’m sure there will be some people who will be keen to give it a go.
Regards,
Gadget.

Gosh, Bodge and Gadget I am very sorry to hear that you are both stepping back from both sailing and organising events at PDV. Your organisational skills have been the backbone of the group and I for one will miss sailing with you on the pond. I hope the break will reinvigorate you both and we will see you back on the water in the future.

Sorry to hear this Ian & Ron. As a new entrant to DF65 sailing and sailing at Puddleduck I have appreciated the work you both have put in. Often we forget to thank or offer to assist those that make these things happen. I have enjoyed the atmosphere and sailing at Puddleduck so hopefully it will continue.
I hope your enthusiasm return’s and your break will be short.
Cheers Todd Sproule
