Well the option was Friday or Saturday & GG picked Saturday along with some others & it was the correct pick as today was perfect whilst yesterday (Friday) was both wet and windy.

We had ten turn up today so definitely another full flight line.

Both Ron (Gadget) & Mike (Predator) managed to damage their 3d printed Zero fighters today, me in a fly away (well a lost sight of actually) & forced landing & Ron in a less than perfect landing.

Both will need to be re printed but at least all the electrics survived in both so I guess that’s a bonus.

Neil had several flights with his recently purchased Prowler (SkyClimber Custom) and even managed one flight FPV, all went well.

I had a couple of nice flights with the Kobuz glider (with4K RunCam2 onboard) chasing thermals.

Stephen (Seaside Mitch) was back to join in the frivolities after returning from his overseas holiday.

Kermit didn’t make it today so no in depth video coverage of today’s flying & we even needed to fend for ourselves for the “RoadKill” bbq, but at least no one went hungry.

There were two mid air collisions (well gentle coming together) today, Karl (with his big glider) managed to tap Chris’s FPV plane & someone (not sure who) managed to clip Neil’s Prowler. Luckily no damage was reported. I’m sure both would have been captured on video if Kermit had been in attendance.

No damage to my Esky Eyas from the gentle clip from behind and I cant even see a scratch.  Here is brief FPV footage from the Eyas but no the clip.

And here is my trusty Drifter. its been 12 months since Ive flown FPV so was a bit rusty and didnt help being swamped on my 5.8ghz video from the rescue drone. But as its a known issuue I just flew close by. Today was a perfect weather day with weak but consistent thermals for the gliders.

Someone clipped me? I didn’t even notice!
