A fantastic turn out of Marine Modellers today at the canal. boats everywhere.
Harry replaced the motors in the new Incat ferry with brushless, and it made all the difference.
Scotty was kept busy rescuing boats as there was a bit of floating weed around.
Again, it was a bit sad looking down to the jetty, with only Kermit and his lifeguard GG in attendance.

This morning’s sail on the Lauderdale Canal was one to remember — a blend of calm waters, comic misadventures, and good-natured rivalry. The day began with perfect sailing conditions: a light breeze rippling across the canal and the sun glinting off the water, promising an easy, pleasant outing. Spirits were high as Kermit set out confidently at the helm, determined to show off his newly honed sailing skills. Unfortunately, confidence isn’t always a substitute for caution, and before long, Kermit managed to run himself aground on one of the canal’s shallower bends.
The moment was met with laughter from the crew and a fair bit of teasing from GG, who had warned Kermit to “keep an eye on that depth gauge.” With Kermit’s boat gently perched on the sandbank, GG took it upon himself to provide an impromptu sailing lesson. It was part rescue mission, part tutorial, and entirely entertaining for those watching from shore. Under GG’s patient instruction (and occasional eye-roll), Kermit eventually refloated the boat — a little wiser, a little muddier, but still in good spirits.
Just as the laughter settled, the morning took a more distinguished turn with a visit from the ever-respectable Mr. Sinker. Arriving in his usual quiet and composed fashion, he brought an air of calm authority to the scene — a stark contrast to the earlier chaos. Mr. Sinker admired the day’s sailing efforts, shared a few pointers of his own, and was, as always, generous with his encouragement.
Later in the clubhouse, the weekly video awards were announced, adding a touch of friendly competition to the day’s events. This week’s Video of the Week went to Mr. Sinker, whose crisp footage, excellent editing, and smooth narration set a new benchmark for quality. His video perfectly captured the beauty of the canal and the camaraderie among the sailors, earning well-deserved applause from everyone present.
Kermit, meanwhile, took the Runner-Up spot. While his video showed promise, his well-known tendency to be a sore loser surfaced once more — though mostly in good humour. To keep the peace (and the fun) alive, the committee decided that Kermit would instead receive the Picture of the Week award, recognising his knack for capturing that perfect shot, even if his sailing skills still need some fine-tuning. All in all, it was another unforgettable morning at Lauderdale — laughter, lessons, and a little light-hearted rivalry on the water.

So sad… So sad ..The integrity our last judge had hasnt been passed on to this judge because he would never had defiled his position in such a manner as this I believe this posts verdict isnt from our judge but a AI generated computer because so many facts are fake Quote : his well-known tendency to be a sore loser surfaced once more — though mostly in good humour. Now thats just stark wrong Im not a sore loser I never complain because…. Im never wrong ….never ever Secondly there is no friendly rivalry with the floaters group its just not true … THIRD the old sinker never comes to our sunny end for Quote ..visit from the ever-respectable Mr. Sinker. UNQUOTE he comes for sailing lessons every one knows that all ..but the AI computer so there ya have it factual information not AI .. I cant lay down for this one unlike my usual layed back responce I have to object to his outrageous abomination of a decision and respectively ask for this farce to be upturned an make me the rightful winner because its the right thing to do ….. PS .. terrible colour for a dress……………………………………..just sayn

Well there froggy, Mr Sinker didn’t help in any way with my write up. It is a true and accurate record of what took place at the canal and no assistance from Mr AI who ever he may be.
