Ok, confession time. As Kermit had the day off it was left up to me to run aground – well in to the weeds really!!

These vicious rumors about me running aground constantly are just that rumors ….. my boat the duck hunter is so fast that it cant straighten out in time after going around the girls… thus touching the edge of the canal Now let this be the end of these false misleading storys THAT THE MASTER OF MISLEADING STORYS MR SINKER has constantly perpetuated ………………………………………………..just say’n

Capt’n Pete, there is an old saying – If it’s not on video it didn’t happen.
Here is my video from today’s action at the canal,

Kermit, I have to agree with the honourable esteem young judge, GG
The forum title is “SATURDAY SAILING” under the heading “Sailing & Boating @ Lauderdale Canal 2026” (Created by Kermit)
I did not see much sailing, and I didn’t see the Lauderdale canal?
I also must point out the glaring errors in your video.
That wasn’t Droughty Point you were going around with the house, that’s “Tryworks Point”, “Droughty Point” is on the Eastern side of the peninsular (Spelt Droughty not Droughy) that can be seen from toad hall.
It was good to see that they didn’t let you on the helm, so no running aground.
Anyway, I won you lost……………………………..Just Sayn

Kermit, I don’t think it a reef as such, just some big rocks.
And just to clarify something, the skipper of the yacht thought it would be safer to trust the self-steering gear rather than letting you steer? He’s a wise man.

ho ho ho narh its a reef extends bout 150 or yds from the point and on a angle pehaps 5/6 ft deep going to the end then the rock I have never seen the rock in question until the scan showed it an it scared em I can tell ya …. and on a good blow the reef produces quit a large surf brake an a long way out to thanks for the map i will hunt up one with a better referance I know I have one somewhere …..ta cobber ……………………………………………………………………..just say’n
