Friday morning again & time for another fly. I arrived early, followed closely by Kermit & we got straight into flying before the heat & the wind rose.

Tried the new OVIONICSĀ  4S 3400mAh 60C LiPo in the ZOHD Altus and it performed well for the batteries first run. No doubt it will improve after a few charge/discharge cycles but I manageg 126kph into the wind today @ around 24Amps & two flights totalling around 20 minutes.

Kermit tried his recently rebuilt “Fly Baby” and after a battery issue was sorted it flew well & landed in one piece (video below), well done Kermit.

Andrew had the rebuilt FMS Cessna back in the air today and she flew well with no mishandled landings today. A quick search of last weeks crash site even turned up the missing cover off one of his landing lights.

Dave P was flying his drone as well as his ZOHD Dart today and even though the wind was a bit fierce he went well.

Gerald did not have much luck with his ZOHD Altus VTOL plane as the wind was just too strong for the VTOL flight mode.

Rian dropped in to say hello but I’m not sure if he flew or not today. Actually according to the video he flew his Tundra for a flight or two.

By the time Ross arrived it was too windy for him to attempt the second flight with his Mode 3 modified Sky Climber but we did at least get the auto launch function programmed & tested so he can now launch one handed as well as flying one handed.

With the wind & the heat rising we stopped for Kermit’s customary Roadkill BBQ & a bit of the usual story telling.

Then it was a couple more flies before everyone headed off to cooler parts.

G’day Dave, post your video on youtube or Vimeo and then copy and past the share link to your post on here, make sure you put it on a new line with nothing else on that line and it should work fine.
