Unfortunately the weather was not quite as good as predicted, in fact it was rather cool most of the day & a tad windy.

It didn’t however stop any of the 6 hardy pilots from strutting their stuff.

I maidened my little QIDI-550 “Swift-One SKY Challenger” and was suitably impressed with how it flew especially given the conditions. Also managed a few laps with the Altus Twin.

DaveP was maidening a powered glider but unfortunately came unstuck when he clipped the power wires at the far end of the field and dislodged his motor. I think that was the only mishap of the day however Kermit’s video may well show otherwise.

We finished up early after Kermit’s BBQ lunch as it was looking like rain.

WHO IS 3% YOU ASK ..david is 3% he himself suggested his nickname when I was talking to him  so from now on dear ol dave is 3%  perhaps just 3  should be sufficient …welcome 3    I must thank ftuity and gadget for their outstanding work with the camera today so nice to be on the other side for a change  it was indeed cold at the field as witnessed by myself with most of the flyers  moisturizing the soil  in front of their cars….  hence a quick lunch an a dash for home all in all a pleasant time… sorta ……………………………………………..just sayn

      Great videos everyone 👍

Kermit, here is a link to the Flite Test Forum page where they have plans for various planes including the 800mm Spitfire which can be built out of cardboard.

There is all sorts of specs for what motor, battery etc that can be used.
The Spitfire plans are at the FT Spitfire – Plans link.
