Andrew (GG), Greg, Warwick and myself went for a one hour slope soar session at South Arm Dunes around lunch time today whilst you lot were glued to the cricket! Here is some brief footage. We need either a westerly wind for Tranmere to work or SE seabreeze for the dunes. If anyone else would like to participate let me know but its not suitable for flight controllers and a small glider or electric glider is needed. And there is a risk of mid air collisions as we fly in a small area so cheap foamies such as reject shop chuck gliders are the best for starting out.
Someone chose a great day and there were nice thermals for my new glider. Anyone up for a pre Christmas fly? Else Merry Xmas.
Either ok for me.
Nice videos chaps. Ralph was toying with us the whole session. He is getting cunning.
Wow nice pic and looks like someone forgot their wellies. My video is lower res today as uploaded from my phone due NBN home issues.
Here is todays drone footage with no shenanagins until the sailing boats appeared.
And here is some footage with the natural sounds of the canal and no music.
Saturday turned into a Friday fly with nice weather and myself, Kermit, Gerald, Andrew, Stephen, Greg and Ryan all flying. I only have onboard footage, here from my Eyas Eagles:
and here from my Skipper
Thank you all for the votes and commiserations to Sheep Shagger for being first runner up in a close contest.
First video for todays video comp is from me who has been away for so long and so I am desperate to win. No music just the sounds of the birds and hot air blowing in the canal today.
Here is Kermits epic flight. Half the vertical stabilizer and rudder flew off mid flight but that only seemed to make him fly better. And what a landing. I recommend TGFS to amy newbie pilots.
Seems like this is the last flying thread and you are now just a boating club. I got back from Philippines a week ago and have already had 2 full size sails here on a friends trimaran and also drove to Stanley for slope soaring. Here is some sloping footage. I hope you will consider a fly sometime.
Wow has this flown yet? Not seeing much footage lately but I will be Hobart from Nov 3rd.
Mustang?
And here is Handycam footage. Im rusty with this cam if only I can find a cam school.
Here is onboard footage from my Volantex Saber. nb its been rainy and typhoon season here hence this was first fly for a month. Just had typhoon go thru yesterday but today Sunday super calm and hot.
