Ahhh, very good.
Thank you for the link to the stick commands 👍
A question for Mike or Gerald regarding Inav, what do you think about this blokes comments regarding the autotune settings after they have been saved.
His comment at the 6 minute mark of his video:Thank you for sharing the Zero video Gerald. That pilot flys it very smooth. Something to aspire to.
Very nice video Kermit. My niece has been staying with us for the last few days and when I showed her your video, she asked if we had a professional taking the video. So there you go. 👍🙂
Sounds good to me 👍
Hopefully, I’ll have my elrs stuff working by then. I’ve just received the bits in the mail 😊

Have you been going to Kermit’s Top Gun Video Capture classes? 🙂

Big failure on behalf of mine and Andrews chase skills with the prowler. It is much harder than I thought. I think I saw Andrew’s Zero the clearest for the longest so I reckon he is the winner of the chase.Oh, I placed an order for the ELRS stuff yesterday 🙂
8 January 2026 at 16:09 in reply to: Thursday Fly In on a perfect Summers day. First Fly for 2026 #20555A thoroughly enjoyable flying day today and congrats to Hoppy for picking the day. Commiserations to the unfortunate crashes today and it was sad to see the Boomerang go down.
Like Mike, it has been a long time since I flew FPV and today I tried my first ever FPV landing! After a quick lap around the field, I set up my approach giving me a long gentle glide slope into the wind towards our landing area.
I had forgotten that due to the depression in the terrain when approaching from the west with an easterly breeze, there appears to be a down draft along that glide slope. Thankfully, Andrew noticed the plane losing altitude and gave me a low altitude warning before it was too late. The landing was a little hard but no damage to the plane And I’m looking forward to trying that again to do a better job. I’m eagerly awaiting Hoppy’s video footage of the FPV landing for further analysis.
Oh, a big thank you to Mike for cooking up a first class BBQ at lunchtime.
Attached is my short FPV video of the flight and landing. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any success with capturing the flight metadata or the map recording from my laptop. I’ll need to refresh my memory on how I did that in the past so I have it working for next time.
Well written Bodge. It’s been a long haul over the last three years and about time for some fresh ideas with running the sailing at Puddleduck.
We have such and influx of new sailors and I’m sure there will be some people who will be keen to give it a go.
Regards,
Gadget.
Thank you for those kind comments Kermit.
Unfortunately, Christmas duties with the rellies up north overruled.
Very nice video there Kermit. You captured a very interesting day. 👍
Nice videos guys 👍
Kermit, you captured some nice Zero formation flying ✈️✈️👌
Well done.
Hi Shorty, great write up again.
That’s a lot of tied results. I don’t think I’ve seen that many before. I like your suggestion of fighting for second last. That will come in handy in the future 😊
Congratulations to the podium placings today. They were well deserved in the tough conditions.
It was great to see Don and Sheep back sailing after such a long time.
Oh, yes, thanks to Andrew for helping out with the scoring after he had gear problems with his boat.
Overall, a tough but enjoyable day.
I’m available both days 🙂👍
Yes, another great write up Shorty, and thanks for sorting the calendar, Bodge 🙂 👍
