I was given this prop from the widow next door who sees me with my planes a lot. Its stamped as AS Cheetah which is the Armstrong Siddley radial engine and DEC 1942 so its older than some of our members. Its from a twin engined Airspeed Oxford which was used by the RAAF for bomb crew and navigation training. A crew of 4 was normal.

Kermit has volunteered to restore it for our clubhouse so this thread is for help and advice! Gerald thinks it should be ready by Saturday.

I was referred to this thread to read prior to restoration: http://woodenpropeller.com/forumvB/showthread.php?t=674

Seems like shellac is the preferred prop finishing protection, no doubt the lac bugs are eaten by frogs!
