No wind, no clouds, plenty of sunshine, plenty of water, not cold – perfect flying day!
Again, a good turn out from the “Marine Modellers of Tasmania” enjoying the conditions.
We also had a visit from Sammy today.
Kermit even had some real “friends” showing him how to sail.

Silence is golden .with no wind lots of stringy stuff in the water an sunshine we the floaters group smashed the water …well dribbled along in it but the sheer pleasure of being there with one of my mates was well worth the slow days sailing thank you d2 .. then came the ha ha judge the gentle giant with his best mate the sinker who was there for his sailing training lessons but due to no wind we sent him home Our days events were a very very rare sighting of the elusive lauderdale canal nessie Ralphs (the eagle ) mate fred being attacked by gulls an a female jogger for GG that was our day on the canal ………………………………………………………………..just sayn

What do you call that, a seagull sitting in a tree, a cormorant and a couple of ducks.
Oh, and three of bits of plastic drifting around.
You need to get out of bed a bit earlier and then you will see the real wildlife.
P.S. I told you so about your camera shaking, and please level the tripod next time……………………………………………..Just sayn

Some people will try to influence the judge by unfavourable remarks about ones video I on the other hand will always give the best to my videos therfore MR SINKERS remarks wont hold up and our most respected judge will see this and give me the title best video on the canal ………………………………………………………..just sayn

Well it’s that time of the week again where we judge the best and worst videos for the week. It was good to see Mr Sinker had an outstanding video with Sam the seal and the frog had the Eagle being attacked by seagulls, think they both may have been watching David Attenborough videos.
So I feel it is my duty to give them both an equal first this week. Let’s see what they can do next week………..

Kermit, for the first time in my life I’ve got to disagree with you.
I thought it was a weak decision from the judge this week, just sitting on the fence like that.
Is it because we didn’t give him any bribes this time, or not enough screen time on the videos, not sure.
Might be time to look for a new more decisive, un-biased, fair and uncorrupted judge…………………………………………..Just sayn
P.S. I still think a seal is worth more points than a seagull in a tree.

The chair of the sailing committee Captain Pugwash has reviewed the the video and disqualified the green boat for deliberately alternating course to RAM the red boat.😞
Appeals will probably not be considered 🤔

Stephen dear thing We the floaters group dont have rules as such BUT common sence is the only rule we have now heres the problem with your claim I quote .. deliberately alternating course to RAM the red boat. unquote Not so.. I was filming as stated on video and wasnt watching the red boat getting in my path ……not my fault Iwould never ram another sail boat ( except for the sinkers boat ) unless I was having a bad day AN THIS DAY WAS AN OK DAY ……………………………….just sayn . ps. so nice to have another voice coming in on topics

Unacustom as I am to replying to the honourable Sinkers remarks this time I have to respond Our most loved judge GG was right to give his vote to both partys..a draw .. My thoughts would have been to give me the gong because I had the seen the lauderdale canal nessie ..sea monster and have it on film I’m waiting for channel 6 to offer a cash amount for the video an all the sinker had was a video of a sea horse floppin on the sand an putt putts going in circles not his best video….but he tries As for his open hostilty to the best and honest fair nice judge ever.. asking for his dismissal sacked tossed on the gravel pit …. just because the flopping sea horse video didnt get him the gong ….shame shame ………………………………………………………just sayn

Just remember the judges decision is final, and will not alter my decision (but could be bribed) let’s see who wins next week.
By the way 1 Seal equals 1 Eagle, 1 Cormorant and some Seagulls, that is how judging points were worked out.

I beleave MR JUDGE you have mistaken a cormorant for lauderdal nessie a very rare beast indeed its logical you dont know the diference not many people have seen one so by your working I have won so gimme ……………………………………………………just sayn
