Well then, Gadget excelled once again with his pick for the Flying Day.
Virtually no wind, no rain (but a bit wet underfoot) & sunshine most of the day.
We had 7 hardy souls roll up today for a bit of flying, Kermit, Seaside Mitch, Predator, Gadget, Sinker, Fab & DavP with all enjoying the ideal conditions.
Gadget maidened his Foamboard Corsair and she flew beautifully. Several successful flights throughout the day.
I was hoping to maiden my rebuilt Beaver but unfortunately the motor screws came loose when taxiing for take off. Oh well better than in the air methinks. Always next time.
Looks close (but it was all under control)
Everyone flew multiple models (see today’s videos) and apart from DavP who had his FPV Dart come apart in the air, & Kermit with a prang or two, the day went off without any major problems.
As usual Kermit served up a sumptuous BBQ lunch while we all sat around & told lies.

Audio is there but very very low in volume, if you turn up loud on your PC you can hear it OK.
Overall another great video from Toad Hall Productions. Probably worthy of the Danger Mouse award.

Davpep, the foam putty we discussed today can be purchased from Hobbytools.
https://www.hobbytools.com.au/Foam-Putty
A few of us use it and I reckon everyone will recomend it for foam repairs 👍

Great effort Kermit considering the problem with the video.
What you have is very good. Editing video is so time consuming and frustrating when it doesn’t work out. I think I speak for everyone in saying that we are very grateful to our dedicated videographers for the extra effort you put in after the event. So a big thank you to you and Mike👍

I thank the honorable MR GADGET for his comments I have an idea as to why I lost half of my video I couldn’t do the video again as the files were removed from the cd cards whilst the film was being uploaded to youtube it was only after I looked at youtube that I saw the disaster gord was I
pissedsad 😔 so I did the redo through utube fixerupper thingi unfortunately I could only save what you can see arhhhhh buggar buggar there was some really good stuff in there to ……..SORRY to all ..as to my bestest mate pred ..narh even if my video wasn’t stuffed up your videos were clint eastwood standard….. question though whoooo’s danger mouse 🐭 I wish my next best cobber THE GENTLE GIANT was here Co’s he woulda been blamed for the disaster …..NOW in the good ol days we had three videographers going head to tail after moooses award but then UNCLE Gs efforts started to Fail an when bribery also started to fail he dropped out leaving clint and myself so after a refresher course from TGFS video section UNCLE G returned to the battle so the question is where is the newly accredited UNCLE Gs videos ……………………………………………………………just sayn -

Hopefully we will get another flying day again soon.
The Beaver loose motor issue has been fixed (used nylock nuts this time) & I replaced the prop spinner as I think the original was a bit damaged and causing some vibration also.
Anyway all good to go again now.

I’m really looking forward to the next fly day. Off course to give the Corsair another spin around the field.
I have dusted off some oldies, repaired others and applied Kermit’s Maintenance class tips to make sure these ones will be ready for another fly….

A very interesting class Kermit. I think we should all take that class as we are guilty of those failures every now and then 🙂
