The rubber bands that hold the wing on my foamboard Spitfire snapped when I pulled too many g’s while in a tight loop.

The wings fluttered down to earth without suffering damage but the fuselage speard into the deck and was completely destroyed.

I finally got around to rebuilding a new fuselage:

Cut out and attached the tailplane.  Attached the turtle deck on top of the fuselage made from thin cardboard and airbrushed the brown base colour:

Airbrushed the green bits and 3D printed a pilot who still needs painting.

Just need to install a receiver and servo linkages and it will be ready to fly on the next fly day.

Looking just like the original Ron.

Thanks Mike. It was a bit different working with foamboard once again compared to 3D printing.

Very impressive Mr Ron. It should fly just like the first one 🤞🙏

Here’s hoping Seaside Mitch. The first one flew so nice.

Looks great Gadget, suggest the pilot needs a good bushy moustache 😂

Hahaha… Good one Bodge. That’s what my missus said when she saw it!
