Friday Fly-In @ The Field (10th September 2020)

It was a great sunny day for our Fly In @ The Field today.

We had 9 pilots all strutting their stuff today & also a drop in from Geoff (“Bloody Geoff” – from Puddleduck sailing) who is thinking about taking up flying. Unfortunately I didn’t have the Buddy Box system in the car today & Geoff wasn’t prepared to try his first RC flight “bareback”, always next time. Just let me know you are coming down & I’ll make sure the Buddy Box system & a suitable plane are there for you to try.

With the relatively clear skies & brilliant sunshine there should be some good videos from the crew today.

Yes, I must agree, the onboard Swampy footage did look very realistic, just need a few alligators.

Pred the camera I used was not my gopro but a cheap knockoff which was in a waterproof case and muffled the audio giving it a deeper sound, yes agree sounded and looked very realistic..

Yes, and the stabiliser function worked well to give a more realistic feel as well.

Anyway no trees were harmed when she landed in the tree tops due to your pet eagle,  anyway gunna rid the field of them with an exocet missle.. Bet you didn’t notice the bit of branch/stick still dug into the wing via Wing-cam, forgot to remove that deserves an award just for that alone.. Also I direct you attention to the skills of the air boat driver getting between Hoppy’s legs metaphorically speaking ..

MR MOOSE The video cinematic board is a committee of like minded individuals with the sole intention of presenting the flight line community with fair and accurate perusal of videos of the days proceedings I  Kermit la frog happen to be the president of said board with the  intention of an unbiased critic of the videos presented to the committee for judgement  on their behalf I give the award for the two sections.   what wasn’t expected was a video not totally produced by a contestant  which is against the rule section Seven Do Not Do   page 201   of the good book TOP GUN VIDEO SCHOOL   BAD ANGELS  blatant disregard of this rule has earned him a reprimand and possible suspension for a period of time.   plus 10 points  I hope this puts your mind at rest as to my  fairness IN THESE TROUBLED TIMES
