When posting recurring events in the Calendar as several of our members now do, do NOT enter anything in the “each event spans X days”. “Spans” is the killer as by definition it covers more than one day so even if you put 1 in the box your calendar entries go across (span) 2 days. Just leave it blank, unless of course you are creating a recurring event that does indeed span across two or more days.

Also, and most do this anyway, only post for about 1 month in advance. That way if something is posted wrong it is more easily fixed.

I have missed three  flying days through lack of seeing the post. Now I may be lacking in observational skills, but would never just ignore it. ie I would always say “Sorry, doctor again”.  I have never seen a flying day summarily “cancelled through lack of interest” in all the years we’ve been flying…there’s always some one on the worst days.  I expect I shall get used to the new calendar, but I can’t say I like it.
