An elite crew of gentlemen braved the weather today at the Duck. It certainly wasn’t as bad as first thought based on the forecast, but at times it was way too much for the A rigs. Poonie made a tactical decision to put on his B rig before he left home, but found it lacking in the quiet lulls. The rapid variations in wind direction made us look a bit silly when we were often clearly on the wrong tack only to be back on the original tack seconds later. Brainy in particular loved the conditions. On the day though, the ever reliable JP pipped him by one point, with Phil a further one point behind after a small brain fade on the last race. We were blessed today with two RO’s with Trout assisting Sheep with official duties plus tuning advice. Thanks guys. Apart from a few gear issues, mostly a fun morning’s sailing for all. Cheers Dennis the Menace.
