A top job today by Sheep organising such lovely weather, just a shame about the dead pockets scattered around the pond. Many of us had no trouble finding the dead spots, but a lot of difficulty getting back out of them. Overall a consitent performance by Al Short with a couple of wins and a string of seconds and thirds saw him comfortably on top at the end. Lisa and Five Second Phil did their best to chase him down but fell a bit short. Phil’s tactic of staying on 5 seconds until race 8 then trying to storm home didn’t quite work. The main entertainment today was provided by Brainy and Lisa, with lots of advice on tactics and general performance for each other, but while that was happening, Al quietly slipped away. Well done everyone and hopefully we will see a bit higher water level in the pond next time. If you are not on the Sailing@Puddleduck WhatsApp group, please let me know and I can add you, or you can go to the group and sign on.
