Puddleduck Vineyard Buoy Maintenance

Today, Gadget, Shorty, Smiling Assassin and myself attended PDV to carry out annual maintenance on all the buoys on the pond and to replace the red buoy.

This included hauling all the buoys and weights ashore for a good ol scrub and in some cases replacing the cords and counter weights. (New system to hopefully lessen incidents of snagged boats on buoys)

We also took the opportunity to place an extra two buoys either side of the start-finish line so we can have better starting angles for both the NW & SW wind directions.

A pleasant post maintenance chat over a glass of wine was thoroughly enjoyed 👍😂🥂

A very successful day.

We also made sure the larger buoys were the ones placed furtherest away to make it easier to see them.

Also, no one fell in! 🙂
