A super day to be out at the vineyard. Sunny, and a slightly warmish North-Wester which was fairly consistently in the 5 – 8 knot range. Another perfect day for DF95 racing! It was hot competition as usual and all skippers were in the hunt at some stage today.

Dave Poon struggled early but then got a transmitter tune up from the Admiral. The change was dramatic. Dave all but blitzed the field in the next race. He led all the way right to the finishing leg when he got ‘the yips’. Only nerves stopped a win.

And speaking of the Admiral – An admirable performance – with two race wins today. Two race wins but just 5th overall???? It shows what a competitive league we have at the moment!

Phil Watkins form is improving each meeting and he earned himself a couple of 2nd places today. And it was those two 2nds that put him ahead of ‘the unflappable’ DonMcLeod on count-back as the two shared 6th and 7th places.

Third place today went to Lisa Blackwood with her usual consistent performance.

Jammy took second with lots of podiums but not a race win. Good handicap management Jammy!

And Trout once again took out the day – three race wins and nothing worse than 4th after discards. A well deserved win!

Coffee and chat after the racing is very much a part of Puddleduck and it was good conversation as usual.

Thanks Shorty on a super day out with the ‘duckers once again. Yep the close racing at all times sure made things interesting and the good comradeship was the icing on the cake.

The Hobart Chinaman lost his fountin’ mountin’ cherry today. 😁

No chance the fountain will be running again this century unfortunately. Apparently all the pumping equipment needs to be renewed (for that to happen) and understandably that is a low priority for the business.
