DF65’s @ the Duck 23rd November 2021
Report by Ron C
Most sailors expected a much stronger breeze today but I suppose it’s where you get your forecast from. No matter what, the temperature was perfect and everyone looked to have an enjoyable day.
The ~25km NE breeze didn’t quite get there and with the usual variable wind conditions of the Duck, we started with the port course heading for buoy 1 and hoped for the best.
Eventually the wind picked up and we fluked one or two decent headwind starts.
Congratulations to Matthew for overall winner. Starting off with three firsts in three races helps a bit 🙂
Consistent sailing from Stuart and Trouty as usual with 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
Once again, many thanks to Sue for such accurate scoring.
Regards,
Ron.
