Puddleduck Vineyard Racing 24.07.’18
The first (unofficial) Puddleduck Race day was a trial to test the viability of the venue. Unsure of the shallow spots, the course was laid out in a small triangle covering the Northern end of the pond.
Five DF65 skippers came to the tryout and after lots of scratch racing and laughter, nobody went home disappointed. Ron, Mike, Kermit, Dave and myself were impressed with how clean and accessible the venue was and how friendly the staff were toward us. Coffee served pondside as we took a break from sailing was a big hit with everyone. No record of the races this day were kept but Mike was on hand to take some great photos of the racing on the day.
