Report & scoring by Ron C

No fountain incidents today and almost perfect sailing conditions. Nice and warm but it would have been nicer to have a little bit more breeze.

As we couldn’t get a proper upwind start direction to marker 5, we opted for a different course today similar to the course Stuart set last Tuesday with the DF95’s.

The start/finish line was the corner of the jetty and the innermost start marker. We then headed to marker four keeping the marker on the port side.  We then sailed downwind to marker 1, back to marker four, back to marker 1 and then upwind to the start/finish line.

It was good to provide a different course for the fleet and the skippers needed to keep a close eye on the upwind/downwind legs to avoid collisions!

Morning tea was something savoury this time, ham and cheese pinwheels instead of salted caramel crack and fruit slice.

      Congratulations to:

      1st Place – Trouty

      2nd Place – Stuart

      3rd Place – Colin.

      Regards,

      Ron.

‘Twas a fine day out @ da Duck today with mostly good sailing conditions. Special thanks to Sue for her stellar scoring and Ron for running the day and baking. Both excellent!
