Report & Scores supplied by RonC

You may notice we reset the handicaps in race 6 and 7 as everyone had one. The lowest went to zero (Phil) and we deducted Phil’s handicap from the others.

It was not a day for the faint-hearted if all you had was an A sail. The B sails went well and Lisa rigged a C sail.

Good sailor attendance but not everyone started.

Attrition was high with gear failure and boats taking on water.  Well done to the brave who stuck it out to the end.

      Cheers,

      Ron

First Place on 22 points was #92 Ricky,

Second Place on 28 points was #32 Phil,

Third Place on 29 points was #35 Lisa.

Yes Ron it was harrowing at times and frustrating at others. Not so much the wind strength, which was at times considerable, but it was the frequent violent changes of direction that put everyone to the test.
Mark five was deadly with a strong swirl coming off the verandah. If you made it through that the submerged pipe would grab any unwary keel passing by.
Yep, another fun day out @ da duck.
Thanks to Sue for scoring, Ron for organising and commiserations to those who turned up to sail but were not suitably equiped for the conditions and thus missed out.
      Cheers!
