PUDDLEDUCK VINEYARD SAILING – DF95

A lovely warm summers day greeted 12 skippers at Puddleduck Vineyard today to contest bragging rights on another DF95 handicap sail day. The wind (gentle NW breeze 1-2knts) was enough to send the skippers around all the buoys except for buoy 1. At times there was the occasional gust, then becalmed, then maybe from the SE depending where you were on the course.
Lisa turned up with the wrong DF 😊, packed the 65 instead of the 95, so we generously let her start 30 secs in advance of the 95s. DF65s next week Lisa 😊 The Smiling Assassin had the rescue dinghy out before the first race as he was distracted talking too much with Trout😊. He again had to launch the dinghy in R4 after tangled his boat around Buoy 3, … nice work Phil 😊
Trout took out the bragging rights today after excelling in the light wind with 2 race wins and a result no worse than 4th after drops, a total of 10 points, well sailed Trout. Jammy is always on the podium and came home second on 24pts, with The Smiling Assassin third , only 1pt adrift on 25pts. Well sailed everyone.
The after sail coffee and chat is always enjoyable and thank you to Puddleduck hospitality as usual.
