Before I report on today’s flying (which was great by the way), whoever the last person out of the field today locked the two ends of the gate chain together instead of locking our lock to the managers lock.

This resulted in the Farm Manager being locked out & necessitated Stephen attending the site (from Clifton Beach) to rectify the problem.

Thank you to Stephen for attending at short notice & could everyone with our gate lock keys please double check when locking the gate that the two locks are locked together in series so that either lock can open the gate.

Report up later tonight or in the morning once I edit the videos.

Oops that was me so sorry about that.
I just one brief video from today.

It was a good turnout today with nine pilots from memory all flying various aircraft.
The 11:00am start certainly was far warmer than it was at 10:00am on Monday but with a slight breeze it was still chilly.
Our videographer (and chef extraordinaire) Kermit was unable to attend again today so we just had to make the best of it.
I did notice a few flying things with cameras today so hopefully there will be some good posted video coverage.
I shot a bit with the Handicam & had 4 different cameras on various planes so it may take a while to edit it all and get it posted.

      Fab

        Hi all,

Hoppy, it wasn’t your fault today with the gate today. I left before you and I think I locked the gate incorrectly. I seem to remember that I locked the ends together and you just put it back how you found it. thank god Steven was able to come out and sort it out, thanks mate.

I apologise for the inconvenience caused!

It was a fantastic day, and thanks Mike for your assistance with the Blanik.

        fab. (very embarrassed)

All Good, we all learn more from our mistakes than we do from always getting it right.  I believe Stephen smoothed any ruffled feathers when he met with James to unlock the gate.

Have to start looking at the forecast for our next day out.
