Even though the day was pleasantly warm it did turn out a tad windy but that didn’t stop any of the attendee pilots from having a good fly.
It was nice to see Kermit back in the fold, even if he wasn’t flying (what with his crook back & crook eye) but he did manage to get his camera out to capture all the airborne antics happening about the place.
As usual Kermit also cooked up a delightful “RoadKill” BBQ for those game to partake.
We also had a visitor from the Farm owner & his son. They have been down to visit before and the son loves to have a fly (usually one of my planes) but the penny never dropped & they never mentioned that they were actually the owners. The revelation came about today when Kermit queried them on how they got in through the locked gates.
Anyway they had a good long chat today about their intentions for the farm and the soon to be opened distillery before the boy had a fly of my Kobuz aerobatic glider. He is far more aggressive when flying than I am and he really gave the Kobuz a good workout from down at ground level to up disappearing in the clouds. I’m just pissed off that I didn’t have the onboard camera fitted. Oh well, I’m sure there will be a next time.
Andrew was giving his big glider a workout but no thermals evident today. Neil had several successful FPV flights with his Sky Climber & Gerald was mainly playing with his Eyas.

Pretty good pick of the weather from Mike.
And not a bad video from the one-eyed frog.
Only thing is that comment about the owner’s son being a future “Top Gun Flight School” student – he already fly’s and lands better than you! (Plane is in one piece)
If you be nice to him, he might give you some tips.

Looks like everyone is having fun flying and it’s great to see Kermit back on deck.
Mr Kermit, I mentioned to my son here in Dublin that you have had some procedures on your eyes and he asked if you have seen this short video clip….
