I had a tour aboard Sinkers yacht during covid . Ross knows the guy as he is a sandford neighbor. It sails very slowly and only when wind is behind it.Meanwhile I flew my drone a couple of days ago here over my boat and marina.

Dont you guys fly any more as you seem to just reminisce over frog spawn footage…

Meanwhile in Subic I flew my drone today over my blue cat. I just bought another model, a balsa 1 meter span Savage Bobber. So my fleet is now 4 but only one airworthy at moment!

We had a cloudy day here in Angeles City Flying Club on Sunday but 30 degrees. I crashed both my Volantex Sabre and my XK X450 VTOL. Sorry only my old phone for video. Need Andrew here to take footage including my misshaps. He has improved the quality of footage there in Sandford. But now weather has gone pearshape with another super typhoon nearby.

3 of us went flying on Sunday yesterday, a Japanese with a Spitfire, an Italian with a Corsair and myself with a 3D Volantex Saber and my XK Toys S450 VTOL plane. Had a couple of Chinese bystanders. I had a bad day as crashed both mine. Pic of the Volantex in this video:

August here was a write off with lots of rain and 3 super typhoons. Now its sunny again I got my Hubsan Zino Mini SE drone out and flew around the marina. John F Kennedy’s old yacht is here and my little blue Catamaran.

We dont stretch frogs here in Philippines, we eat them as taste like KFC. I posted 2 videos to last weeks thread including very large DJI drones used for surveying and airliner inspection.. None this week as we have a Cat 4 Super Typhoon next to us and 2 more storms brewing. The Hurricane in the news at Florida is only Cat 2 by comparison.

    Kermit

I just use my 6 year old phone camera. Please send me a nice camera as the foreign correspondent salary does not cover the big flash automatic focusing and stabilizing camera that you use. As for editing my $3000 computer is still in Hobart so I edit on a tablet. Here is footage from yesterdays full day flying. Starts with 3 big professional DJI drones. Biggest used for Lidar surveying and medium sized is owned by Lufthansa. They fly it over airliners when on ground to check for cracks in between flights. So my video is informative despite poor frames and editing.

Just finished a day of flying here in sunny Philippines. Takeyo san one of our Japanese members had a lot of trouble with both his Spitfires and I managed to get most of the carnage. I wish I also had Andrew to sub contract video taking to as you dont see my planes flying. Hopefully a longer day flying this Wednesday.

My first thought were that all of a sudden Kermit can take quality video and fly properly but then I realized he has sub contracted out these duties to Andrew. Hopefully I have 2 flying sessions here over the next week at our flying site at Angeles City Flying Club. Have temporarily given up ultralight flying there as a friend just crashed after an EFATO (engine failure after take off) and broke both legs. RC flying more safe!

That Eyas looks fixable but I guess if you have a house full of spares then fly the spare. I see there is a mini Eyas just been released. Just been thru 3 typhoons and 3 weeks non stop heavy rain here but at last the sun is out again.

Great footage and some carnage. Ive had 3 days minding my boat as a big typhoon skirted by. Some marina damage but not near my boat and I put out so many extra mooring lines. Now have a few days respite before the next typhoon. So thats also why no flying videos from me in Philippines. But it gives me the time to enjoy your footage. I have a Dumas Tiger Moth balsa kit to build in the typhoon /rainy season here. I will get into 3D printing when back in Hobart but could be another 18 months here.

Glad you have calm seas there. Here in Subic we are a month into Typhoon season and 2nd of the season is just starting to affect us with the heavy rain just started. As usual I will sleep on my boat if it gets windy but this one is vectoring more north so hopefully I can stay at my condo with the wifie as its my birthday in 2 days time. So also no flying here this week. And the road to the flying club is still closed for over a week from affect of last typhoon so that is a problem. But I do have a Dumas balsa  kit Tiger Moth to build on the rainy days here.

Also dusted off my drone today. Image of our condo and footage of Bataan coastline about an hour drive from here. We have anchored a couple of times at the Nuclear Power Station at end of footage as its not commissioned.

3 of us went flying yesterday here in hot Philippines once the ultralights finished flying. Ive got 2 planes now and someone is giving me a small Tiger Moth soon to finish and fly. I ended up getting the Radiomaster TX12 transmitter. We are thinking of renting  a RV and going to Joe Nall fly in in S Carolina next year. I just paid for 2 years more retirement visa so cant see me back before then! Also still enjoying sailing here. Went out on Saturday and saw 6 A10s take off from the local airfield for more joint exercises. We are the nearest US Navy base to Taiwan. nb the grass airstrip the below video is from is a former Kamikaze strip from WW2.
