I’m still crook from flying in the freezing wind last time so you wont get me out there in the rain.
Probably OK for frogs, you’re waterproof !!
Another quality video from the widdle green tree frog, thanks again Kermit.
Yes it was cold, and windy but at least we got together & had a bit of fun, and even got some flying in which was pretty incredible given the conditions.
Oh well, always next time.
NB. Kermit, I have an atrocious memory these days and getting worse daily, I usually have to refer back to previous videos for names etc.
If you can make it by 4:30, that will be OK otherwise it may be better to wait till after tea say around 7:00
Should be home all day so any time after 10:00 should be fine.
Neil, inav configuration is the program you need but you have to load firmware into the fc before you can configure it.
Im not far away from Ron so if you want to drop up sometime I’ll show you how to set it up as I have all the needed files on my pc
Thanks Gerald, I stand corrected.
I have actually seen that option in iNav 7 but not used it so apparently it didn’t stay stored in my grey matter.
G’day Neil, you can install them right way up, upside down, on either side BUT the arrow on the FC must ALWAYS face in the direction the plane flies.
Most modern FC’s must face forward, unlike the old FY 41AP’s that could be reprogrammed for installing in reverse.
Just as long as it doesn’t melt the firewall
I fitted a 2200kv motor and 40A esc so hopefully it’s got enough grunt to overcome the weight
Finally finished the 3D printed Savage Bobber, all electronics installed & the radio is programmed ready for her maiden flight (once the damn weather improves).

Thanks Mr Kermit, it may never fly (being too heavy) but it’s kept me amused.
I’m just about finished so if you need a hand sorting out some of your planes this may be the right time. don’t think the weather is improving any time soon !!.
I’m expecting a call from the old Sheep Shagger as soon as his bits turn up, to sort out his FPV plane.
Looks like a fine spot for flying (or RC dune buggies) but a bit hard for sailing, also the sand tends to wear the paint off the keels !!
Glad you are enjoying yourself GG.
I can still remember (just) when I used to be that keen, rain, hail or shine we would be down there sailing regardless.
At least we were smart enough to sail from inside our cars long before the rain got that heavy.
Anyway, nice to see someone is keeping up the tradition of a Saturday Sail @ the canal, AND producing a video to prove it happened.
Well done Mr Kermit.
Posting Videos.
Would everyone please note (including Mr Kermit), you can’t post videos in the Calendar. They get deleted by the system, in fact ALL calendar entries get deleted after 30 days have passed, to cut down on storage requirements.
Great quality video Gerald. Digital is definitely far superior, just a shame about the content. You need to get up & out a bit to find interesting content for that great camera.
Apart from the OSD its hard to pick any video degradation between the plane recording & the controller on the ground.
