I’m getting as bad as Kermit with late video’s
Must be that “Christmas” time of the year.
Yes we are flying hopefully but depending on the weather we could finish anytime from midday to 3:00 pm.
I’ll take the cards with me and just play it by ear.
thanks
Mike
G’day Peter, if you have a minute to catch up I have your membership card here.
Sorry, if I’d seen your post earlier I would have sent it down to Puddleduck with someone.
Wednesday is forecast to be cold (14 degrees) and very windy (27kph – gusting much stronger) so I am suggesting Thursday (calendar is up) and perhaps again Saturday.
Ducks are like certain RC skippers, no such thing as “Starboard” or “Buoy Room”, they just set a course & go for it regardless !!
I have downloaded my video for this weeks sailing but have not yet had time to edit it.
Too busy getting Kermit’s Carbon Cub ready for its Maiden Flight tomorrow.
Kermit, as well as the 6S battery for the Cub don’t forget the 4 wing screws & the 4 pins to connect the wing struts to the fuselage. Also I think you have the two hatch covers as they are not here.
That’s interesting, someone else said almost the exact same thing
If the weather is OK at the canal I will be down for a sail & BBQ, if its like it was today & blowing a gale then I’ll give it a miss.
There may be a new DF65 skipper along tomorrow, Noel D has recently purchased his first RC yacht and is interested in getting a few pointers on the fine art of RC sailing so keep an eye out for him tomorrow & make him feel welcome.
Technically you shouldn’t go past 25mw without an amateur or specific licence but no, 600mw will give you good range, I also have a 400mw version that runs a lot cooler and gives just as good a range. Just make sure you match the Tx & Rx antennae, if you circular polarised then they both need to be either left or right polarised.
Here is my video from a couple of weeks ago that I never got around to posting.
Sorry, can’t make it this week
Another fine video from the Green Tree Frog brigade, well done Mr Kermit.
If you have the same goggles as I do they come with a 48 channel 5.8ghz Dual Diversity receiver built into the screen so all you need is a matching Txr and antennae.
I usually use the TS832 Video transmitter, they are around $35.00 from AliExpress.
Sounds like a plan, I will also head down for a sail, sure I can find a charged yacht here somewhere.
Looks like a nice day for a Barbie anyway.
Works like a treat & the digital video is so clear, now all you need to do is install it on your big Ranger for some truly amazing footage.
