Well after looking at this week’s videos I will give the trophy to the Sheep Shagger, very creative although it did not represent the true facts of the day.
Second place will go to Mr Sinker for his video of the sinking of the titanic.
Last place to Kermit for his video, but he does a good job in trying to take video and sail his yacht at the same time.
Special note this week, Kermit did not break down or run aground which is a first for him…… congratulations

Well, let’s wait a while till Bad Angel puts his video up before we make a decision for this week’s winner.
Well I guess this week’s winner is the Animal as he has me on video saying he’s won. But Sinker also submitted an excellent video and deserves an award as well.
Well done to both of you.
Well, sailing is off today due to bad weather and Kermit has injured himself.

Only 2 people have entered videos so far this week, I was expecting a video from ANIMAL but so far nothing. I feel this week’s winner should come with a warning of incorporating AI video which will in future mean instant dismissal from the comp.
So this week’s winner is Kermit on the condition of no more AI video (AI creates an unfair advantage and unrealistic view of the event)
Well done to Hoppy for his drone video and is a clear winner in that category.

Well I was put in an awkward position today. I had a phone call from the green frog suggesting that Animal should win this week’s video or else the Animal will break and eat Kermits legs. So… what to do, after looking at both videos, both had their good and bad points, so I think the trophy should go to the Sinker for the video he thought about submitting, as his videos are of a high quality.
Hope this saves your legs Kermit, but I’m sure they would be tastety when fried with some garlic butter.

Sailing at the Lauderdale Canal today had all the ingredients of a classic club morning: light-hearted banter, a touch of drama, and just enough breeze to keep things interesting. The water was alive with small ripples early on, reflecting a sky that promised a decent session, even if the fleet numbers were a little thin at first.
The day began with a visit to the Wheelchair Mob end of the canal. It was, by all accounts, almost a non-eventâthough not for lack of enthusiasm. Just two brave skippers had their boats on the water, quietly defying the calm and flying the flag for the early shift. Thereâs something admirable about that kind of dedication. While the turnout may have been modest, the commitment was not. The pair made the most of the conditions, testing trim and tactics, and setting a relaxed but determined tone for the day.
But the real spectacle unfolded at the opposite end of the canal. Thatâs where the action wasâwhere spray flew, hulls heeled, and reputations were put on the line. Scotty, Kemit, and GG took to the water with intent, carving up the waves in fine style. The breeze had freshened just enough to make things lively without tipping into chaos, and the trio wasted no time in pushing their yachts to the limit.
Scotty was in particularly sharp form, reading the gusts beautifully and threading his way through the chop with precision. GG matched him tack for tack, the two of them locked in a friendly but unmistakably competitive duel. Their boats sliced through the canal like they were on rails, each skipper seizing every puff of wind and making it count. It was sailing at its most enjoyableâskillful, spirited, and just unpredictable enough to keep everyone watching closely.
And then, of course, there was Kemit.
True to tradition, Kemit once again found himself making an unscheduled visit to the bank. Whether itâs an uncanny attraction to shallow water or a bold interpretation of the racing line, he managed to run aground yet again. The sight of him wading out to retrieve his stranded yacht has become something of a weekly featureâequal parts comedy and commitment. Shoes off, trousers rolled, he trudged into the canal with good humour, rescuing his craft and returning to the fray as if nothing had happened.
To his credit, Kemitâs contributions didnât end there. In a moment that captured the spirit of the day, he also made a generous effort to retrieve a little girlâs net from the bottom of the canal. It was a small act, but one that didnât go unnoticedâproof that even the most frequent visitor to the mud can still be a hero.
This weekâs video was another superb production, thanks to three of the finest cameramen around. The footage captured every tack, splash, and grounding in glorious detail. While all involved deserve praise, the award this week surely goes to Scotty and GG for their on-water brilliance, with a well-earned mention to Kermitânot only for his editing skills, but for maintaining his remarkable streak of running aground with unwavering consistency.
All in all, another memorable day at the Lauderdale Canalâwhere the wind, the water, and a few determined sailors combined to put on a show worth watching.
