Ah yes imperfections, can’t complain though given the price!! Still a bargain.

I will need to do some timber work around the hatch cut outs to reduce their size slightly and strengthen the joins as it was only the many layers of paint holding the unbraced butt joints between the sheets. Nothing a bit of marine ply & epoxy won’t fix though.

Certainly was another fine day of DF65 racing at the Duck, and a fair turnout of boats to boot.

Volantex ASW28 Wing Flex

I fitted the keychain cam from my Drifter onto the T tail and wingtip of my 2.6m glider to see how much the wing flexes before I reinforce the wing with tape.

Nine Eagles SkyClimber

At long last I have managed to get a chance to maiden the rebuilt NineEagles Sky Climber at the Farm recently and it performed flawlessly  (see first flight in the video section).

The only disappointing thing is that it glides better than my big ASW28    just doesn’t look as good though.

Now just need to hook up the FPV gear and it will be complete. 

FPV transmitter & camera have been added since the last flight and also a bit of contrast colour scheme, red & black wing tips & tail plane and large double black stripes on the underside of the wings.
