    Thank you Mr Moose.

Geeze Mr Frog, have you been smoking the woopy weed again, firstly there was no music in either of my videos & I couldn’t see anything that could be construed as dancing (dirty or otherwise)

in reply to: Finally got my Excalibur #10519

Thanks Mr Moose, the original Excalibur was good but everyone reckoned it was a Warmliner rather than a Hotliner. Don’t think the Hotliner moniker will be a problem with the V2

Yes Stephen, I may have to tone it down a bit and use a 3s rather than 4s battery

Thanks Chris, I finally got around to watching your video. Great to see footage from other parts of the world.
What is the net line running parallel with the beach? Shark line or something?

Thank you Mr Moose for our kind words.

    Now prepare for the tirade.

A shortie but quality video Gerald, thanks.

Another nice video Mr Frog, it’s nice to catch up with what else is happening around the field when you are airborne & concentrating on your own plane.

Dave, the FCC version is the one you want, this is the “International” version . The LBT version is for EU contries only (a different standard).

Unfortunately you cant use the R161 as suggested by Gerald unless you get a different (more updated) flight stabiliser.

The R161 is SBus connected & the FY-41AP stabiliser does not support an SBus connection.

The RadioMaster R168 receivers are out of stock (again) at HK.

    They are available here

in reply to: Playing With Boats in the Canal, 19th Feb 2022 #10454

Here is my video from the other end of the canal today.

Yes there were only 4 of us in attendance but we still had a nice sail on a very pleasant morning.

No we didn’t have a BBQ lunch today as 2 of the 4 needed to leave early & anyway it appeared that both the BBQ’s were in use.

All videos from this years trip now added.

Hopefully we will have better luck next year.

in reply to: Mid Week Fly #10447

What’s this, pick on Mr Moose week?

I can see that next flying day I will need to attend with camera in hand & a civil tongue in my head and take out yet another GMA !!

All my planes are ready to fly again after a couple of minor (very minor) errors on my part last flying day, just need another fair sort of day.

Nice one Gerald, glad someone was there to keep the others on their toes.

in reply to: Bixler 2 or 3? #10408

David, Bix 2 needs 1 x 2200mAh 3S LiPo. I would recommend at least 25C rating & the higher the better. C rating does not significantly affect size or weight whereas if you increase the mAh rating say from 2200 to 3000 the battery is significantly larger & heavier.

I find the H K Rhino brand batteries are far less likely to puff than their Turnigy (Blue) batteries and only slightly dearer.

3 batteries is a good number to start with as each will give you around 15 minutes of flight time & you can always recharge them at the field (from your car battery) if needed.

As for a receiver to suit your radio a Taranis X8R (if you can get one) or the Radiomaster R168 if you want to use one of my stabilisers, if using a newer SBus stabiliser then the RadioMaster R161 will be just fine.
