The scoresheet & kermits 3 videos & pics have now been added to the report
Well if you have some matt black adhesive vinyl I can certainly cut some for you but I’m limited to 300mm length max.
Another fine production there Uncle G
Capt’n the easiest way is to make them from a piece of rubber cut from a thong (flipflop). When I made one for the Ragazza I just bought a $2.00 pair of black thongs from BigW or similar, cut a piece to rough length & shape with a knife then finished it off with a Dremel grinder. I still have 1 & 1/2 thongs left for my next project.
My IOM has a 3D printed bow bumper (using flexible filament) and you can also mould them with silicone rubber, mask up the bow of the boat up to where the bumper will fit, use silicone sealer over the bow to get rough shape & mould with wet soapy fingers to get the shape you want before the silicone starts to cure. Silicone sealer is also good to use if you make a mould first, then fill it, let it cure then remove from mould & glue into place.
Mode switch fixed, Acro now disabled
Oh, it was flying fine Ian, problem was purely operator error.
I selected Agility mode rather than Vertical mode but was too close to the ground when I realised what I did.
I will disable Agility mode till I get used to how it flies & that should resolve the problem.
Yes Kermit, that will work as well, Glass is handy for cutting things on, I have a large panel that I used to cut ripstop sails out on. The cutting worked fine, the sails not so well as ripstop nylon stretches every way except the way you want.
Well that is a bummer about your camera footage, would it work any better if you faced it to the stern rather than the bow?
Yes Capt’n you can cut almost any shape with it. Its what I do all the plane & boat names, sail numbers etc, however for pinstripe its easier to go to an automotive shop & just buy a roll of it in whatever width you need.
Got some nice pics there Kermit but where is your deckcam footage?
Here is a bit of video from this morning
That’s next on the list of things to do.
Just need to change it from Crash Land to Vertical Land.
I had it in the other mode for the Bad Angel to get his Funny of the Day AND HE MISSED IT.
No second chances though (hopefully)
Well with a little bit of patience & some contact adhesive the X-Vert VTOL aircraft is ready once again to take to the skies.

I haven’t decided whether to refit the FPV camera or not at this stage, might make sure she is flying OK first
Another fine quality production there BA. It’s a pity you missed some (all) of the funnies but there is always next week.
The Bush Mule sure sounds sweet with the Twin Motors, worth buying a twin engined anything just for the sweet sound!!
Nice bit of censoring on the “George” clip, after all we can’t have the pollies having all the fun with their “Black Texta’s” eh!!
Happy to assist, just got a bit busy this afternoon hence the late posting.
Pics & scoresheet now posted.
