Great write up again Shorty. As well as being close racing at the pointy end, it was very close at the other end looking at the scoresheet.  Three sailors on 44 points each!

Here are a few hat cam videos with a couple more to come…

    Looks great Mike.

When you headed towards the white track, I thought you were going to go over the edge of the table!

Thanks for letting me know Fab 👍

    I have a bad feeling about this…..

Is it true that higher number of planes you take to a fly day increases the chance of you crashing more?

Hey Fab, are you planning to come along? If so, I’ll bring the floats we discussed.

I suppose “Polo Goal Post Plane Killer Field” is a bit too long?

    Great write up shorty.

It was a bit challenging sailing in the stronger wind which caused a bit of mayhem around the course.

I’d like to thank you for picking me up on a rule I wasn’t familiar with. I had performed a tack from port to starboard inside the “zone” a couple of times when rounding buoy 2 when there was a boat already on starboard near me. After the tack, it almost felt like I was barging so I checked with the affected sailors to see if they were OK with what I had done. Because we were now both on starboard, we felt that I was OK and had rights to take the inside track around the buoy.

I think I have found the rule which indicates that I was in the wrong and I had no rights forcing the other boat to give me buoy room.

I thought I would post it in case other people are not familiar with the rule.

I’m really looking forward to the next fly day.  Off course to give the Corsair another spin around the field.

I have dusted off some oldies, repaired others and applied Kermit’s Maintenance class tips to make sure these ones will be ready for another fly….

A very interesting class Kermit. I think we should all take that class as we are guilty of those failures every now and then 🙂

Great effort Kermit considering the problem with the video.

What you have is very good. Editing video is so time consuming and frustrating when it doesn’t work out. I think I speak for everyone in saying that we are very grateful to our dedicated videographers for the extra effort you put in after the event. So a big thank you to you and Mike👍
