Septic Tanks don’t count, only Aussies & sheep shaggers!!
Could very well be.
Yes Gerald, a couple of close shaves there today. I think the Frog needs “Collision Avoidance” fitted when he goes SkyDiving.
Hyperbipe repair 2023
After a minor mishap (hatch came off & stabiliser fell out) the Hyperbipe is all straightened out and ready to fly again.
The nose area needed to be removed to allow for repairs & straightening as it was almost turned inside out
however after some boiling water it was almost back to its correct shape.
After some straightening of the motor mount it along with the straightened nose pieces were glued back together and back onto the plane.
All good to fly again (and I taped the equipment hatch in place this time).
Once it has been test flown I’ll repaint the stripes on the nose to replace the water slide transfers that came off during repairs.
Yes Gerald, another fine day of flying amongst friends, and yes thanks Kermit for your BBQ skills once again today.
Neither did I, you kept your little birthday bash very quiet & low key.
75 is a momentous occasion & it only happens once in a lifetime.
Regardless, it was another nice flying day enjoyed by everyone & another fine BBQ hosted by the frog.
My videos are a bit late this week, that is the only problem with flying on Fridays.
Yes Steve, probably Thursday or Friday this week, just waiting to confirm another appt.
Im sure the Frog will grace us with his presence this week.
Unfortunately most post production stabilisers do that, It is caused by the way the stabiliser software crops the image form the original track.
It is easy to see just how much the image moves around if you look as my earlier Tech Pod videos when I tried installing a sun shade.
Nothing wrong with your eyes eh Gerald. Thank you.
Here are my videos
At this stage either is OK for me so lets see what others think. Both look similar weather wise, 23 with light winds.
Yes Mr Frog, another fine video from Toad Hall Productions. Would have been a GMA winner again.
I’ve repaired the HyperBipe biplane and am about to strengthen the struts that failed (so hopefully won’t fail again).
Also ordered a new (220kv) motor for the Bix 2 but that will be a month getting here from down town China so in the meantime I’ll attempt to get the curvature out of the fuse so at least it flies straight next time.
This week looks ok for a fly as well if anyone has preferences.
Thanks for the update Kermit, all the best Ian. Hope you have a speedy recovery & can get back to flying in 2023.
Don’t you know, it’s be nice to Frogs this Christmas, you better lap it up cos it won’t last !!
Yes you naughty little froggy !!
Thanks Col, Hope to see you in the New Year back sailing @ The Duck.
