Here is some hatcam footage but unfortunately I had my hat too low missed the aerial flying so I have removed it.
Andrew’s magnificent take off:
Hey Kermit, what about something like this attached to two ropes that is taken up by a drone and put around the branch that the grass hopper is stuck on:

Working the ropes back and forth on the ground may eventually cut through the branch?
Permission could be sought from the owner but I don’t reckon he’d worry about one branch.
What do you think?
Rope saw’s are also available but they are a lot more expensive and I imagine they would be quite heavy.
It does look like it’s way over the back of tree island.
Following is the lost alarm that I use on my wing’s when I’m flying long distance FPV for those that may be interested:
Great day today.
Edit of the three planes flown today from my hatcam.
Hi Chris,
This was this only way I could work out how to send you links.
I found the following links to the glider.

This is the Aliexpress store:

See if they work for you.
Cheers,

Hat cam footage of my Tundra.
Looks good Mike.
Maybe we can have pit stop build competitions at the field 🙂
Great photos and videos guys. I was thinking of you all while I was in the office looking out the window on a perfect flying day.
Looks and sounds like it was an action packed day.
Cheers,
Ron.
Nice job Mike. It looks very professional.
Look forward to seeing it in the sky again.
Not really flying-in-the-field but Chris, myself and two extras went slope soaring at Tranmere today.
I thought I’d post this hat cam video of the first ever flight of the balsa/solar film two meter glider.
Thanks to Chris for doing the initial take off and trimming before handing it over to me.
I didn’t realise how tricky it is to land a glider on a slope when all the glider wants to do is keep climbing and flying!
I have cut out a bit of the onboard FPV video from the wing being launched from the robo Ron bungy launcher.
Quite bumpy from the wind and flying into the sun is not so good.
Just missed the top of a tree at 48 seconds!
Great write-up Mike. I can’t wait for the videos.
Cheers,
Ron.
Great news BA. Hopefully they will not take too long to come in.
I’ve been trying to post internet links to stuff but it doesn’t seem to work for me. I’ve been using the Insert Link button in the tool bar but with no success.
I’m glad you found a dvr for it.
Cheers,
Ron.
Another attempt at me trying to post a photo.
Some of you have already looked around for the mirror style goggles. I purchased mine for $120 but I notice the ones available on Banggood now are slightly different and now more expensive. I don’t think the ones I got are available now and Banggood even changed the photo of the the ones I bought in my previous orders list.
Worked well for me Mike.
