Good videos today but some of the prangs were missed. In the Falklands conflict the British used VIFF which was vectoring in forward flight to get the sea harriers to quickly target the enemy aircraft by adjusting the jet nozzles in a turn.
Mike has PIFF settings, no idea what that is but I’m going for Pranging in Forward Flight.
My LePetit biplane hadnt flown for a while. For some reason the ESC died on take off so a brief video for this! Only a 20amp ESC so maybe its not enough.
Best flight was from the Drifter as first flight of the day so still clouds around the hill top. Played near the clouds:
Changing the cam from PAL to NTSC may fix the OSD issue. Monday or Tuesday look ok for a fly. Any preference?
After choosing to fly on windy Friday I redeemed myself by choosing a good day today to fly with 10 turning up. Ian and Kermit had mishaps and Moose’s Cessna suffered a bent nose gear but no major bingles. Mike’s dolly wheel needs modifications and if successful I may do one for my 2.32m Fox. My fox got a couple of weak thermals but barely enough to maintain height. Did a few aerobatics and tweaking. Here is a highly cut down video:
Also my Eagles had a brief flight. Both of these videos with the #32 keychain cam:
I now own the 2.3m fox and it’s ready to fly with vario etc setup. Here is a good wheel option.
Top Gun flight School has notified me of an error in Predators video. My yellow plane is a WW2 Tiger Moth hence the trainer yellow colour and not an old WW1 Sopwith Camel which are not yellow.
Only the one vid from me today on my TL2000. Using my Hawkeye Firefly Split 4k Cam but set to 2.6k before movie maker and youtube reduce the resolution even more:
Uncle G was true to form by taking out my yellow Tigermoth then Kermit and ours communal awning and nearly took out the Foxy glider.
It was a pleasant day at the jetty with gentle breeze and the 10 Rater shone after some sail tuning. But then the blue intruder turned up and shenanegins occured as the ducks scattered. Here from my mavic mini drone:
3:49 in eagle video he is close to you. Your V tail is loose and wobbling.
I went boating and sailing with Scott and BA after flying, thought you were all following me! Had camera issues today as my keychain cam somehow switched on on way to the field and flattened the battery. My Firefly Split 4K footage stopped recording on my Eagles needing research. So only footage is from my old Foxeer Legend 1 cam on the AXN and here on LePetit. Looking forward to seeing Mikes eagle footage.
And here is my only other footage today on the AXN with the 3 blade prop courtesy of UG.
My only videos are from my new #32 keychain cam on diff planes. I have a spec of dirt on the lens which I need to clean off. Here is the footage from my XK X450 VTOL plane with new metal gear motor tilt servos:
And here is my AXN including some chase footage but it goes too fast to be a chase plane:
Here is one of my brief bungee flights with the Albatross reject shop glider:
And last footage from me for the day is the faithfull Drifter with some rolls and inverted flight.
Even the birds can flip on landing!
I notice the ducks stay with us at the jetty unless that big blue boat trundles up when they ‘duck’ for cover.
