G’day Ron, happy for you to borrow my GoPro Hero9 to have a play with before you spend your hard earned money.

These days it’s a toss up whether you go for a “Go Pro” style action cam or a 360 degree camera (eg: Insta360 V2) as the latest of either have good stabilisation and horizon levelling, and have 4K or better recording as well as 1080P.

Also, not sure what video editor you use but I have recently changed to VideoProc Vlogger.

It is a fully functional Free program that is easy to use and also comes with a great audio editor built in. A couple of quick tweaks of the equaliser will make all that wind noise disappear without affecting the rest of the audio track.

Thanks for the report Admiral, very informative.
Certainly was a great day to be sailing @ the Duck.

Well done for a HatCam Ron. Looked like a mighty fine day of sailing.

Well then, even without sound it at least has content. Gets my vote.

Looks like a fun day was had by all. The beautifully manicured runway was a bit of a waisted effort though as no one managed to stay on it, taking off or landing. Easier to just use the road.

I see out illustrious President Ian was a No Show again. Becoming a bit of a habit methinks.

Kermit, check your video edit settings, they should be (MP4 1920 x 1080 @ 25fps) for normal HD video

Looks like you are a bit out of practice there with your takeoffs Mr Frog, and the motor sounded like it had only 2 connections rather than 3, could be why your ESC erupted.

Looks like you need your old mate Predator down there watching your back eh !!

Gee Ron, I have never seen your Beer Box Spitfire fly so poorly. It has always flown like it was on rails. Just what was your problem ?

Looks like Mr Frog is running a bit late again with his this weeks entry for the GMA’s so I will set the voting to start at midday today. As all the recent votes have been registered within the first 24 hours I will set the voting period to 24 hours rather than 48 and see how that goes.

Can always change it back if it creates problems.

    Much better Mr Kermit.

Not only sound but you fixed the resolution as well. Well Done!!.

Nice one Hoppy, they look like bigger versions of what I used to have in my fish tank when the kids were small and loved watching tropical fish.

Gee, I was having a bit of an identity crisis, chap standing on the jetty wearing similar colours to what I wear, including white boots, grey hair & a Greek fishing cap. I was sure I didnt sail yesterday, then he turned around & I saw it Dennis and wasn’t me after all.  Thought I was going senile there for a while.

By the way Kermit, your video has no sound.  Must have a setting wrong in your video editor again!!

That wheelchair mob are a grumpy looking lot & what happened to their BBQ?  Perhaps they need a frog to cook it!!

Other than that a fine video of the day’s proceedings.

Shorty, sounds like another fun day @ the Duck. Thanks for your report.

Don’t worry about Phil having an addiction to things RC, he still has a looooong way to go.

    I currently have in order of size;

    1 Victoria

    1 Mt Gay 30

    1 DF65

    1 DF95

    2 IOM’s

    and then for the bigger ones;

    1 Nautic 12

    1 10R

    1 A Class

& I can’t even find time to sail most weeks due to generally flying one or more of the 19 planes currently in the hanger.

and I’m not addicted, just enjoying my second childhood !!

Looks like the Frog has it again this week (The Golden Moose Award that is)

Well done Kermit, a masterful video this week (even with your one eye handicap)

in reply to: Clarification on Repairs to DF Hulls #12542

So Admiral, no stickers on the outside of the hull over the keelbox eh?

I think “minority of hulls” is a gross understatement as virtually ALL hulls succumb to keelbox cracking eventually.

Andrew, I have 3 x 5mm Prop Adaptors, I’ll bring them next time we fly if you can’t source yourself a replacement for your loose one.
