Thanks for the report Pete, I took the option to stay home & warm but it sounds like you all had a bit of fun despite the cold.
Likewise, all repaired & raring to go.
Another of those superb Moose Days would be great.
Looking at the long range forecast suggests that the earliest we will be flying is either Tuesday or Wednesday but both are still a bit far away to guarantee it. Will check it out early next week.
Sailing on Saturday doesn’t look all that great either with strong westerlies straight down the canal & rain as well.
Latest update on the “Gooney Bird”
On the last outing 20/6/20 the motor got very noisy. Luckily the plane was landed without incident.
I dismantled & fixed the original motor, as suspected the circlip holding the front bearing had dislodged & the bearing came loose in the housing.
This has now been repaired but I’ve opted to replace the original Volantex B4023/Kv850 with a slightly more powerful Volantex B4023/Kv1050.
I’ve opted to keep the original 10 1/4″ x 8 folding prop but I also have a 10″ of the same pitch to try.
Bring on the next flying day!!
The Frog has now moved into the big league of Video producers, no more black screens.
Sorry about the stuff up with my Edit last night.
The video of Race 3, extra pics & Correct Weight Score Sheet now added (yet again)
For best viewing of the Race 3 HD video select 1018p 50 HD resolution by clicking on the settings cog on the RHS bottom of the viewing screen..

Why are we waiting, why are we waiting …..
Just like flying Kermie, practice makes
perfectbetterAll my videos are now posted.
Just waiting for any contributions from Uncle G & Kermit.
Ah well at least you tried. I would have been there enjoying it all (including the BBQ) with you but I had to stay home & finish designing & 3d printing the bits for your Thruster so Graham can get you off his back.
Then I had a Birthday lunch to attend & spent the rest of the afternoon washing & grooming the Great White Ghost
Very nice Gerald, nice & stable for a wing. It does land heavy though doesn’t it.
Never, you must have misread it.!!
I see you have sorted out embedding videos, well done.
Another nice set of videos. The Esky Eagle is quite stable for a small wingspan. Makes a nice FPV platform.
Thanks
Well this is how it looked after a nose plant (probably caused by a failed servo gear)
After a bit of work, some glue, tape & paint she is all ready to fly again.
I even managed to find an old clear canopy for it so at least “Predator” is back in the Pilot’s seat.
Now bring on the good weather !!
