Well then, all up you are probably looking at $150.00
F405- Wing FC = $70.00 inc postage
BN-220 GPS = $22.00 inc postage
then you need an XT60 plug & socket
Red & Black silicone wiring (for battery & ESC)
Heatshrink
Compatible Receiver with SBUS & S-Port connections (I use FrSky X8R)
and of course a computer capable of programming the FC. The first one is always a challenge but then they get much easier.
To get the most out of the telemetry you also need a decent RC Radio that can handle LUA scripts, I use a Jumper T16 (which has a large full colour display) but any of the new RadioMaster radios should also be fine & even the older Taranis X9D will do the job but you only get a monochrome telemetry display which is harder to read.
If using FPV both the camera and VTX plug straight into the F405-Wing to provide programmable OSD to you goggles or screen.
Another fine contribution Mr Kermit, thank you.
Funny, that was exactly what my wife said when she watched the video. Perhaps I better get on line & purchase one.
Thanks Ron, an oldie but a goodie.
Your Tarago looks very much like our second one, but ours had a big bullbar on the front
Thanks Chris, one must assume it’s rather warm when you see everyone sitting in the shadow under the bridge !!
All good now.
Private videos wont work without authorisation of each person viewing, if you can change it from private to unpublished then is will still be hidden but the link will work
Well you know (with the approval of your peers) you could always resurrect the GMA’s. It’s still running away in the back room of the website.
Needs a bit more editing methinks, just showing a bit too much of that which should stay at the field.
The onboard video definitely shows promise, just a shame the camera moved out of position.
Hope they also bring back the Kelvedon Regatta. That was a great event that I attended for several years (usually with Ron Barrett) till Covid put an end to it.
That was definitely a classic Oops moment Mr Gadget, never seen anything like it. I think you should protest to the adjudicators that it was NOT included in the Frog’s “Oops” moments. Definitely worth a re edit methinks. Get to it Mr Frog !!!
Sorry I couldn’t join in the flying @ Sandford on Friday, looked like everyone that attended had a marvellous time (as per usual).
I did however get to fly on both Friday & Sunday (although it was very windy on Sunday morning) @ our campsite on the Henty River, West Coast, Tasmania.
There will be a camping video eventually but it generally takes around a week to sort through all the photos from multiple cameras & all the video clips so don’t hold your breath.
At least we didn’t get washed out or blown away at the new campsite so that was definitely a bonus & it meant we got four days & 3 nights away for the first time in several years.
Another fine video from the Toad Hall Productions mob. Even the head-cam footage was acceptable.
Thanks for keeping me up to date on the Frog’s goings on Gerald.!
