Nice bit of camera work there Mr Frog, capturing al the action shots from around the field.
Also nice to see your FunCub was flying very nicely till that dastardly Eagle pulled your wheels off!!
Nice, I love BIG gliders, easy to see.
Very nice bit of video work there Uncle G. Getting the hang of tracking the planes with the camera now I see.
I’m not sure if any of my electric vehicles will do the job of towing your gliders over the rough sheep paddock
but if not the Baja Predator certainly will
Gee, and there we all were thinking you just wanted to go sailing with your mates.
How wrong we were.
Glad to know there was no permanent damage & its all good to fly next time.
Moose said the spinner screw was in the bag with the other bits. He said its tiny so make sure its not stuck in the corner of the bag or similar. He did glue the tail on but none of the screws etc have been loktite’d
19 September 2020 at 19:45 in reply to: Sailing and scale boats at the canal 19th September 2020 #6030Well Uncle G, at least your music was upbeat (but still not country), Hoppy’s music sounded like he pinched it from a funeral home.
In my opinion the onboard Swampy footage ( especially when following Chris’s Swampy through the everglades) is worthy of a special National Geographics award for this week.
Would do Mr Attenborough proud.
Well after that mammoth video effort (along with all the FunCub flying) I think the Frog should be nominated for News Cameraman of the day. Not only was his camera pointing in the right direction to capture Ricky’s demise with a tree & the rather hard chopper landing, his camera was in focus to boot. Quite a lot of nice aerial shots as well. Well done my little Froggy mate!!!.
One devil of a job.

Thanks Chris, I thought that may have been the issue as Ian’s are actually tilted a long way back and not straight up at all. Just wanted to check the on line manual before fiddling with it .
When you said real yachts I thought you meant A’s, J’s, 10R’s, Marbleheads ets, but it was a bit disappointing to only see only IOM’s.
At least there were a few “Woodies” I guess they could be classed as Real Boats!!
Nice video none the less.
Nice video, looks like you had a good turn up today and a perfect day to boot
Yes it would have been a good day @ the Field or the Canal today but unfortunately sometimes domestic chores have to be done.
Anyway the yard is all tidied up now so ready to fly next chance we get.
Looking forward to your Mavic Mini video.
I also fitted a new screen to the Stearman Biplane so at least the pilot will be able to better see where he is going
and fixed the engine/gearbox issue with the BumbleBee so I can now get full power out of the motor
Yes, and the stabiliser function worked well to give a more realistic feel as well.
Yes, I must agree, the onboard Swampy footage did look very realistic, just need a few alligators.
The hand that
rocks the cradleowns the camerarules the worldclaims the prize eh.Mr Kermit, you may need to start awarding “Camera Operator” awards along with “Producer”, “Director”, lead actor etc etc.
Well maybe not, all sounds a bit hard.
