Great write up Bodge and very wise words indeed. We all want to have fun and enjoy ourselves at “The Duck” so people will need to pay a bit more attention and be more courteous which will benefit everyone.

I’ve managed to process all the hatcam videos from today except for race 1 as it took way to long.Ā  That race could rival some of SBS’s documentarys on “slow TV”!

The following footage is from races 2, 3 and 4. Races 5, 6 and 7 will be posted after the final video has finished uploading.

Great write up Shorty and excellent course selection during the morning keeping up with the unpredictable shifting winds we all love at the Puddleduck.

As mentioned, here is a link to DF95 Tuning Gauges that I saw on Thingiverse.

I thought I’d try them out and here are a few photos of the gauges attached to my DF95:

Thanks Mike. I had intended to start flying just before sunset, around 6:30pm to get used to it. Unfortunately I got there around 7pm, near last light which was a bit too dark to get my bearings.

That’s a great idea Kermit. If we have a “crash and burn” fly on a cool evening, we can gather around to keep warm! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

    Great write up Bodge.

I didn’t have too much luck with hat cam videos today.Ā  Race 1 and 2 were unwatchable due to rain on the camera lens.Ā  Some other races were too low or too high and not much of the sailing was in shot. I think the strong wind may have adjusted the hat without me noticing.

    A very successful day.

We also made sure the larger buoys were the ones placed furtherest away to make it easier to see them.

Also, no one fell in! šŸ™‚

Great write up Shorty. Thanks for that.

I also stayed with the A rig as I don’t have a B rig. I was happy with my finishing positions in R7 and R8 and wish I didn’t tangle with Geoff at the start of R9 ☹

I’ve started processing some of my hat cam video and here is the footage from Race 1…

Wow, the stabilisation in that video is awsome Gerald.

    Hahaha….

That’s a challenge for me next time 🤣🤣🤣

Speaking of small videos, here is footage from my onboard camera on the Chaser wing and screen recording from QGroundControl on the laptop as I was doing a bit of FPV flying today….

Thanks Andrew but that was just a piece of weed I think.

This is a photo of the sea snake which I took by accident as I was frantically trying to get away from it:
