We dont need a windsock any more; we have Dave. See 21 seconds into Predators around the field vid. Better than a windsock!
My Drifter is repaired and ready to fly again on Sunday. I had a spare wing from my original Drifter so used that although its a clean break on yesterdays wing so is easily repairable with hot glue. I hope we have more videographers on Sunday to challenge Predators run for the 2022 end of year GMA.

I am glad a good time was had. I was going to come for a quick squirt with you but my wife became a ‘casual contact’ through her work at a big hotel here and it wasnt until 2pm Sunday that she was able to get a negative RAT so I stayed away from you all out of caution. But I was then able to go to the cricket at 2:30 !
My advice is stay away from any big hotels and their gyms as they have guests with covid but dont tell staff which rooms or guests to stay away from and dont have their own RATs to give out to staff. Basically there seems attempts to hush things up, as profit is their driver and <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>not</span> the health and wellbeing of staff or customers. So you still have to go to a choke point like the police academy and queue up and get a test.
Anyway as of yesterday arvo my wife and I are OK so Im ready for the next fly. She wont be returning to work, its not worth the risk despite being tripple vaxxed.
Ive been retiling and grouting the spare shower the last 2 days. Does that count as maintenance? I think not when its under wife’s orders.
Moose
Here is a non frog video you will enjoy, being a Corsair fan:
One question to Uncle G; the boat looks great but why do you need a flight controller?
There were some tight thermals today that spread out once you go to 120m high so you could fly anywhere. My Eagles had an onboard camera to get its bingle. I ran out of up elevator doing low level aerobatics:
And some brief Fox footage as only other footage from me:
Oh no, another duck slayer…
Its going to be a tough call to judge the ‘Not the Golden Moose Award – Amateur version’ between Mike and Gerald this week!
Only video from me today is from my Esky Eagles Eyas. Usual view from the top of the hill and then around some trees and the Moose as he retrieved his plane from its water landing without floats. Is there no end to the talent of Moose?
Now we know BA was a professional video maker we need a new class of award. Kermit should get the “Not the Golden Moose Award for Amateurs.” This despite the prolonged views of the Frog Pond.
Good to see BA’s videos back here. As we are light on for footage and as discussed over lunch there are some early delights on BA’s utube channel:
25 November 2021 at 13:17 in reply to: Another Not So Quiet little Mid Week Fly-In @ the Field #9814Well the GMA I think has to go to Kermit for Oops moments at end and providing the flying content for the day. I thought you may have tried roasting a snag in the lipo fire…
25 November 2021 at 12:05 in reply to: Another Not So Quiet little Mid Week Fly-In @ the Field #9813I arrived home last night from a nice sail. Will review videos today and provide input for next GMA winner. I hope people have been flying seaplanes and swamp dawgs in the puddle.
Nice video Kermit despite the many walks of shame! Thanks for the Ibis plane. My first maiden I ran out of aileron trim and the CG was aft. But after that, with a bigger battery to get weight fwd it flew nice.
