Nice bit of prose there Mr Kermit 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, the slow motion is excellent. So, I reckon the prop broke when it hit the ground. Surprisingly, the bottom of the fuselage where the wing connected is not damaged at all so the rubber bands must have done their job.

Here is the video for setting up flaperons and using Global Variables in OpenTX and OpenTX Companion

The author shows how to set it up using Jumper T16, then he goes over how to set it up using the OpenTX Companion software which is the way he recomends.

Might be a short video but great footage Gerald.

After closer inspection of the Zero, I think I will be able to repair the broken tail so I’ll only need to print replacement wings and nose cone.

A great day flying today with perfect conditions and thanks to Kermit for cooking another delicious BBQ.

As discussed around the BBQ today, here is a link to the fibreglass sheets to help with 3D printing:

And here is an AU link to where they can be purchased.  I have ordered three to see how they go.

Great write up Bodge. Thank you for those fine words capturing today’s drama.

    And drama it was!

I was on the second lap of the first race and I noticed my sails stopped working.  Thanks to Phil for assisting in directing my boat back to the jetty.

After promptly removing the hatch to see what was going on with the winch servo, I was greeted with smelly smoke billowing from the hull. I didn’t think it was meant to do that so I immediately unplugged the battery.

A fire may have been prevented due to the watertight (airtight) hull starving it from oxygen. Phew!

Here is a photo of the damage.

Luckily, I have a spare DF65 winch servo so a quick clean up, deoderise and servo replacement and I’ll be back next DF65 Tuesday.

Congratulations to the podium places in today’s classes. Great sailing indeed.

Love your “warp speed” Gerald 😂😂😂

Definitely a great day flying and the excellent video footage from our camera men captures it perfectly.

Mike, you must be happy with the Draco. The maiden flight looks really good and mixing all the different video sources top it off 👍

Gerald, I’m sure Mike will reward you handsomely for you part in it 🙂

Kermit, your Draco Baby video is a great collection of the flight line gang and I love your head cam footage.  You had great patience and determination to get the green machine back in the air and congratulations for achieving that 👏

Oh, and Hoppy, it looks like that red plane in your video has something wrong with it. Is one of the aileron servos stuck fully in one direction? It just keeps spinning around and around!! 🙂

    Great videos again everyone.

Mike, you definately got your steps up on the long walk!

Good job Fab in flying your powered glider considering it has been a long time since your last fly.

Oh, Kermit, thanks for the dedication of your video 😂😂😂

Excellent footage once again from everyone. Thank you. I wish I could have been there. Better that laying in bed crook 😷

It may have been challenging with the Zero in the wind though.

    Next time.

That’s a nice looking plane Mike.

    I can’t wait to see it 🙂👍
